Team motivation can be tricky at times but, I’ll show you how I do it. Through my inspiration, my team mates / business partners become motivated.
It’s not possible to MOTIVATE another person. You can INSPIRE them through your actions, efforts and results, but motivation comes from within. It’s something each person must get on their own. Unfortunately, most people have lost all hope of accomplishing their dreams of financial success and time freedom. In my opinion, the best way to inspire people is to show them what you do regularly to move your business forward and more importantly, the results of your actions. Do you have a company top sponsor list; or team building challenge? Be on it so they see and know that you believe and are taking action.
Team Motivation 101
Recognize both big and small achievements of your team mates. After all, the sizes of business accomplishments will always vary from person to person and small steps grow to giant leaps. In other words, the small “wins” definitely add up.
Have tools and trainings to educate and interact with current and prospective team mates / business partners.
Be accessible – return emails and phone calls. Take time to ask how things are going and make note of birthdays, etc.
Consider having contests, challenges and incentives. These don’t have to be complicated or expensive. Start small and see what works!
Attend as many company events and related industry trainings, conventions and expos yourself and encourage your team to attend. This helps build their belief system by showing other people who are on the same journey as they are.
Schedule pizza parties; coffee and small team gatherings at events and whenever possible. The bonding and friendships created can really sustain people and inspire them to move forward.
Team work DOES make the DREAM work!
