Some of the things that stop people from; making a list of people to contact and introducing them to their business are: the fear of what to say, and how to answer questions & deal with objections. Here are some simple network marketing scripts that show you how to break the ice. Remember, you aren’t a professional sales person at this point, you are simply sharing information.
Keep in mind that you should already be acquainted with the people on your list.
You can say something like the following:
“Hey Joe, I don’t know if you would be interested but I’ve started a new business from home, and if it’s okay with you, I would like to drop off some information for you to review and get your opinion, so that you’ll know more about what I am doing…in case you come across anyone who might be a match for my business. Would that be all right?”
There’s no pressure here. You’re just asking a question. Try to avoid saying anything about your business that is specific. If asked what your business is all about, you should say, “Joe, it’s so exciting…if I tried to explain it, I wouldn’t be able to do it any “justice”. That’s why I want you to watch the DVD and check it out for yourself…It’s Amazing!” This will keep curiosity high for when you drop off that DVD you promised. Remember, you can do the same thing with an online video by texting or emailing your prospect the video link.
At anytime, should your warm market contact express a desire to know more, show him or her your personally branded company and answer any further questions they may have. Always use your tools (online video, DVD, etc.)
Here’s another one of my generic network marketing scripts for you:
“Hey, Joe. I’m a dot-com’er now. I’ve started my own Internet business. Let me give you my website. Would you take a quick look, give me your opinion and in case you run into anyone who might be right for my business, I would appreciate any referrals.”
**After you master your intros, you should work on your follow-up & closing skills. Check out some of my free training in the Drop-Down Menu at the top of the page.**
What your friends, family and acquaintances do after the initial introduction is up to them. Don’t worry about it. Get busy using lots of different techniques (described on this website) and you’ll have plenty of people looking at your business.
Whatever you do, don’t trash your reputation by continuing to call; cajole; or beg your friends to take a look. Be a professional and you’ll get professional results. Follow up casually every 3 or 4 months, because timing and changes do happen with people.
